I would like to build a recreational cabin using environmentally responsible materials and techniques. The cabin will be built using the "earthbag" method with local soil. It will be totally off the grid using small solar power and low-fuel wood mass heaters. Furthermore the roofing will be built using used pallets and wall insulation will reuse 10,000 plastic water bottles. Although a great many of the materials are free or low cost I do need to pay for certain materials and labor and delivery. In addition I will be using the project to educate my students and school community on building with the future in mind. Thank you |
