Hello, I am a working fulltime student and a Mom to 4 great kids!
Our home was built in 1900 and it is really shows. I am panicking that our family will not have the funds to cover our heating cost this winter due to desperately needing new windows. Our windows are in such despair that the wind comes howling through them whenever there is a slight breeze. We kept our heat on 68 degrees last year and our heating bill would topple over $600.00 a month and we would still be freezing!!
We cannot afford that kind of money to be thrown out the windows! I have search several agencies in my hometown and have not come up with any resources that are available to my family, we are the kind of family that seem to fall between every guideline for assistance there is. We are not wealthy and we don’t even make it from paycheck to paycheck but again we fall thru the cracks for any sort of assistance. We do not purchase lavish items nor do we even own any.
We have 15 windows and a big picture window, but I am more concerned about 7 of the regular windows and the big picture window, they are the ones that leak the most or are just broke. I have had a company come over to look at them and they said it would be about $1,500.00 to replace and install these windows!!
Any help we can receive in keeping the children warm would be appreciated more than anyone can imagine!!!
